Enjoy a getaway to The Cabin in Suquamish, a renovated 820sf log cabin with vintage-inspired touches such as push-button light switches, furniture and artwork. Relax with a beverage on the back deck, which has a “realtor’s view” of the Sound, or in the front garden.
Cabin has WiFi and a vintage-looking record player and a few records, but no TV. No smoking. Suquamish is a ferry ride away from Seattle so is best suited if you have a vehicle.
The log cabin, built in 1980, has a living/dining room with a lofty ceiling, which adds volume to the interior space. Enjoy the morning sun on the back deck with peekaboo views of the Puget Sound where you may see eagles and cruise ships. The front of the cabin is enveloped in sunshine, when it's shining, where you may hang out in the small garden and greet the passerby neighbors who may be collecting their mail.
A Duraflame-type firelog is provided nightly for the first week of a stay from October-April. The full kitchen has a French press and drip coffee makers, four-burner stove, oven, microwave, sink, and full-sized fridge, oil and vinegar, coffee, tea, sugar and spices. Even a Whirly Pop is available. Bring your own popcorn. Or make the microwave popcorn provided.
Bedroom #1 has a new queen bed, a narrow dresser and a closet. Top down, bottom up shades have been installed for your privacy.
Bedroom #2 has two twin beds and a vintage metal dresser. Top down, bottom up shades are there for your privacy.
The cabin has WiFi and a bluetooth speaker, but no TV. Washer, dryer and detergent included. Even though the cabin is in a neighborhood, nature exists - you might see anything from spiders and ants to eagles and owls and orcas and seals, with many things in between.
Guest access: You will have access to the entire cabin. Other things to not. No TV — perfect for writers to finish that novel while enjoying the woodsy feel of this cabin.
