Nestled between a private ironbark eucalyptus forest and farmland, the 40 acre Ironbark property provides seasonal habitat for native wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, and echidnas as well as a wide variety of birdlife. Guests have complete privacy in a stand alone 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The heated outdoor spa is the perfect spot to unwind in all seasons. The property is only a 2-minute drive or a leisurely 15-minute walk to the historic gold mining township of Maldon. Ironbark is also within easy walking distance of state forest providing trails for bike riding and walking.
Undercover parking on site as well as lock up shed for bikes etc. A solar-powered EV charging station is also on-site and is free for guests use during their stay.

The place was absolutely beautiful. Such a lovely quiet private location with beautiful views of the forest. The house had everything and the hosts were so accommodating. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Our visit to Ironbark was amazing. The photos do not do the place justice. Such a comfortable and inviting property with everything you need. Dealing with Mel and Murray was so nice they are extremely... accommodating and beautiful people to talk with. We will definitely be returning to this incredible property. Maldon is blessed with many great natural attractions within close proximity to the town. Rock of Ages is one such attraction that is not to be missed. This spectacular rocky outcrop is located on Mount Mooral, overlooking the Maldon township. Enormous boulders are staggered across the area.

A town rich with history from the Victorian Gold Rush era, there is no shortage of exploring to do. We visited the Beehive Mine Chimney and the Mine Ruins of both the Beehive and South German Ruins. We also ventured to the Victorian Goldfields Railway Station where you can look at the old trains and station building.
