Our rustic and cosy mud brick cottage, surrounded by native wildlife and bushland, is the perfect place to unwind and disconnect.

Relax in the Sauna overlooking incredible views or unwind in the outdoor spa.

Our well equipped kitchen features large french door fridge, 6 burner stove and oven, Pod coffee machine.

You can feed our chickens and collect the eggs, or hand feed the Rosellas.

Enjoy long lazy brunches in the sunken dining area looking out over valley. Explore all that the stunning Otways has to offer- close to waterfalls, walks and beaches. Finish the day by cozying up by the fire, with a wine and a book, then Soak away your cares in the outdoor spa bath under the stars.

The Top house sleeps 7, 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with a queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom with a double on the bottom/single bunk on top.
All towels and linen Provided.
There is one full bathroom in the house.

Dogs are welcome, with a fenced in area for your furry friend. They can be inside, but not on the furniture. Please let us know if you have a dog coming.

Absolutely gorgoeus home. We had the best weekend. So comfortable and cosy with stunning views. The rooms and beds were comfy, especially the main bedroom. Lots of utensils in the kitchen with a bbq ...as well outside and the fire kept us warm. Lovely outdoor entertainment which was private but with great views and trees all around. The sauna was such a special expefience and the putdoor bath. Just all round fabulous. Thank you for having us! We would come back in a heartbeat.

We had such a wonderful time at the Top House! It's a beautiful old house with modern amenities, so very comfortable even for city folk like us. The fire makes it incredibly cosy, with a heatpump to b...ack it up if your fire-making skills aren't great. The location is great - incredibly quiet, great birdlife, and an amazing view out over the hills to the ocean. Perfect position to explore the various sights of the Great Ocean Road from. The traditional Finnish sauna is fantastic (and 100% approved by my Finnish partner!) and the spa is as great as it looks in the pictures. Finally, Bek was friendly and quick to respond to any questions, but gave us our privacy whilst we were there - the perfect balance! Overall can't fault this awesome getaway, 10/10 recommend :)

The Top House was absolutely beautiful. Packed with charm and so relaxing. The cottage and grounds are amazing with regular visits from lots of birds and we even had a koala in the tree next to the sauna. Thank you for an awesome visit.

Melba Gully

Melba Gully (Madsen's Track) is one of the wettest places in the state. The gully has lush plant growth and is a dense rainforest of Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Tree-ferns, with low ferns and mosses. The Madsen's Track Nature Walk is an exploration into a world of ancient, mossy trees and temperate fern gullies. This short walk is a good spot to see the remarkable glow worms at night.

Maits Rest is an easy 1km circuit walk beside the Great Ocean Road about 15 minutes west of Apollo Bay. Admire impressive trees, including towering Mountain Ash and a huge Myrtle Beech tree expected to be at least 300 years old.
