A great escape on MT Rainer. Lovely cabin with everything you need. Perfect location. We walked the the neighborhood, visited Mt Rainer and had some meals at the local restaurants. It was perfect.

A great spot to stay at if you want to explore Mount Rainier National Park. The cabin is adorable and surrounded by tall trees, giving you privacy to soak in nature while enjoying the deck. It’s so cl...ose to the park, making getting into the park a lot easier. My personal favorite was the waterfall shower head—perfect after a long day of exploring! Can’t wait to visit again.

A few years back we were exploring the National Park and decided we wanted to spend more time in and around the stunning beauty of Rainer National Park. We found a piece of land and started building our dream. We built a small cabin for our growing family and friends. We only live an hour from our cabin right at the entrance to Mount Rainer National. The feeling of the cabin is freedom, peace and contentment. We have both traveled to many countries. I have been to 38 in total and get the same feeling i have with going out of country just an hour from my home without the expense and travel time. We love sharing our cabin with the hope that many will find the same peace that only the woods and nature can provide.

Eat World Famous Pie
Don’t miss the world-famous pies from Copper Creek Inn, Cabins & Restaurant, established in 1946. The burgers are my personal favorite. You can also find local merchandise here.
Copper Creek Inn
After our adventures on the mountain, we decided to stop for a quick bite at the Copper Creek Inn. We had lunch and a small desert, I highly recommend getting the blackberry pie. It's the best in town!
Sightseeing At The Nisqually River
This river is fed by the Nisqually Glacier on the southern side of Mt. Rainier, converted to hydroelectricity by the Alder Dam and empties out in the Puget Sound. The foggy tree line surrounding the river creates a beautiful backdrop!
Rampart Ridge Trail
If you're looking to hike among towering evergreens I would highly recommend this loop trail accessed from Longmire. I feel this area is often overlooked as many people head straight to Paradise. It is a moderate 5-mile loop trail with views of Mount Rainier and Longmire.
This is a great trail to snowshoe when the road to Paradise is closed or if you would like a less snowy early season hike. You'll often run into some very friendly and sometimes curious wildlife so just keep an eye out if you stop for a snack and remember to not feed the wildlife.

Learn Walk At Longmire
Visit Longmire Museum to learn about the park’s history. The Gift Shop has souvenirs and the National Park Inn has food. Walk to small hot springs, Mt. Rainier, Longmire Cabin, and a “rusting spring" on the Trail of Shadows (0.7-mile loop total).

Longmire has been welcoming visitors since the 1880s - Mount Rainier National Park’s first visitor center and park entrance station. Located in the southwest corner of the park in the magnificent old-growth forest along the Nisqually River, Longmire is just 16 miles east of Ashford.
