Tiny Home, Big Adventures
Adventure in Packwood, Mount Rainier, WA, US
Driving through the Cascade Mountains of Washington State have got to be one of the most breathtaking drives anyone could take. Towering Mount Rainiers (aka Mount Tahoma), snow-capped ills, massive waterfalls and trails around every corner.
Once you feel lost in the vastness of the cascades and pull in towards Wrigley Road you really feel one with the mountains. Although the Wrigley tiny home is “tiny” it stands tall with pride nestled into the woods at the base of Mount Tahoma. This tiny home is more than tiny. Its king size loft bed was one of the best nights sleep we had ever had. Like sleeping in the clouds that soaked in the mountain peaks on this weekend. And who knew a TINY home could have a full-sized soaker tub. The Wrigley tiny home is more than comfortable and screams “relax” the moment you walk through the doors.
The Wrigley home welcomed us with adorable trails around the property and incredible hillside views. If you search well, you might even find mythical creatures hanging around the creekside enjoying their forest. Its fire pit, soaker tub and comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces made the stay feel more than relaxing, it felt rejuvenating.
Being able to adventure around the home, without having to master any snow-covered roads was a bonus. Just a few minutes out of town you may find towering waterfalls and beautiful snowy drives. Unfortunately, during the winter months, many trails and viewpoints are closed, which made staying at The Wrigley house even better due to its self-sustaining adventure space. But when we felt restless a short trip to the local brewery is even better. Packwood Brewery was cozy and loaded with games and good beer. After a day of adventuring up towards White Pass and finding these wondrous sites, and drinking great beer. Coming back to The Wrigley was a great retreat.

Things We Did
- Brewery
- Café
- Waterfall
- River
Packwood Brewery was full of friendly faces, amazing locally brewed beers, and great snacks! Packwood Brewery has small details that would put a smile on just about everyone's face. It is family-friendly and offers games, a stunning fireplace, and a warm welcoming atmosphere.
This was the perfect spot for a coffee to get us ready for our day's adventure. Locally brewed coffee and freshly baked goodies gave us the energy we needed to take on the day. Small town feel, but big flavours and tastes.
Lava Falls view point access was unfortunately closed during this time of year, but we were able to see the falls from the side of the road! I would highly recommend this stop when it is open. Stunningly massive falls on the other side of the hill.
The Wrigley tiny home property is filled with tiny little gnomes and fairy homes. It's quite the scavenger hunt, but while you're looking make sure to not fall into the creek. With little fire pits, a rope swing and calm water noises, you'll never have to leave.
