Perched high in the forested slopes of Lookout Mountain you will find this Lake Whatcom view home. Lookout Mountain Lodge gets its name from the high vantage point above the trees and this allows you views of the lake below and the surrounding mountains. It's an easy drive from downtown Bellingham to this beautiful home where you will find a tranquil getaway with miles and miles of award-winning trails in your backyard at Lookout Mountain Preserve.

All the world class trails that the Bellingham area has to offer for hiking and mountain biking are a short drive away with some trails that start close to the lodge. In addition, you are within striking distance of Mt Baker, the San Juan Islands, North Cascades, Vancouver and British Columbia, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and some amazing waterfalls and the Tulips when in season. Lake whatcom and lake louise are just at the bottom of the hill.

There's a great local store with most everything you could want, a sweet little pizza place just down the road that delivers until 8:30 pm and has GF options. The owners and hosts at Lookout Mountain Lodge love everything about this magical retreat!

**This is a dog-friendly property with a non-refundable pet fee (1 dog/$50 and 2 dogs/$75). When booking your dog, please add your dog to the guest list. The fee will have to be added as a modification to your reservation, as it doesn't automatically add the fee. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Please bring your pup's bed or kennel for their comfort. We provide pup treats, pup waste bags, post-swim towels, and 2 dog bowls for your use.**

The lodge is freshly remodeled with a beautiful open concept kitchen, 3 bedrooms with plush beds, 2 bathrooms, a beautiful great room with rock fireplace, a bonus room downstairs with couch and also an airbed option for overflow guests, keyless entry, and a large private deck. Just bring yourselves, rover, and your groceries. You will not be disappointed!

Entertainment - 65” smart Wi-Fi Android tv with app and music capability.

Please let us know how we can make your experience at our magical lodge the most memorable! We look forward to hosting you :)

The entire home and property.

The lodge is 1000ft above sea level. Prepare adequately if there is inclement weather like snow. The driveway has sufficient space for 2 vehicles. The driveway is steep, but you may park at the top with ease. If there is snow a 4x4 or AWD with chains is recommended. You are welcome to park at the top of the drive as well as the woods side of the road. Roads can be slick when there is snow, so plan accordingly. The place is not suitable for RV's. Please be courteous to not block the neighbor's access :)
PARTIES and EVENTS: Unfortunately, we cannot permit parties or events at the Lodge, and require that anyone on the premises after 8 p.m. be a registered guest.

QUIET TIME: This a residential neighborhood. Quiet time is from 8 PM to 8 AM seven days a week.

PETS: Please let us know if you're planning to bring a dog. There is a 2 dog maximum. We do charge $50/1 dog and $75/2 dogs. We accept well-behaved dogs, we prefer smaller, non-shedding breeds, as dog hair can be invasive. Generally (though we like them!), we don’t accept cats. Pets are permitted in the Lodge only with prior approval. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse, as well as cleaning pet before he/she comes indoors (old towels are provided by request, or you can bring your own). PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE - INCLUDING BEDS - AT ANY TIME. Please don’t leave pet unattended in the Lodge at any time, unless in a crate. Pets should be on leash or under voice control when outside the Lodge. The homeowners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that pets may incur while on the premises. Please walk the perimeter of the Lodge before you leave to check for pet waste. We ask that you please use good judgment when deciding whether to bring your dog. The house and furnishings are in really good condition and we want them to stay this way. Also, because Lookout Mountain is home to so much wildlife, dogs must be on leash while on the property.

PARKING: Guests are permitted to park at the top, or bottom of the driveway. Please do not block neighbors from accessing their driveways.

ROAD CONDITIONS: The Lodge is located at 1000 Ft above sea level on the side of Lookout Mountain. The roads can be icy or snowy during the winter. Guests should plan accordingly for winter driving conditions. No refunds will be offered to guests that cannot reach the Lodge. Please consider a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. Drive slowly when the winter conditions exist, as the roads are steep.

SOUTHERN COURT: Avoid taking Southern court to and from the Lodge. It is not a suitable road for most drivers and is very steep. Google Maps tries to route guests this way!

FIREWOOD AND FIRES: Please be fire smart when burning a fire in the fireplace. Do not leave the home with the fire unattended. Keep screens closed at all times. One complimentary bundle of firewood is provided. Guests may contact hosts to buy additional bundles for $15 per bundle, or guests may purchase additional bundles at the store in Sudden Valley.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is no later than 10 am. Please leave wet towels in the tub and make sure all dirty dishes have been started in the dishwasher. Trash and recycle need to be placed in the trash cans at the bottom of the driveway. Please remove or dispose of all food items brought to the
home. When check-out is complete, please remember to lock the door behind you using your door code.

Hello happy travelers! We are Owen and Kristin, and we love our job of creating magical retreats for our guests to stay and relax in. Owen is a former contractor and I am an Alaska Airlines flight attendant, and both are real estate brokers. We pride ourselves on creating a rewarding experience for all of our guests. We buy (or help our clients buy) unique properties all around the PNW. We then remodel these homes to chic faux-rustic design. All the way through sourcing furniture and stocking shelves the process goes on. We love family, skiing, hiking, traveling, gardening, photography and searching for new properties to renovate. Our adventure started 4 years ago as house flippers and helping our clients do the same. Things took a turn when we completed our 3 cabin remodels. The plan was to finish and sell them so we could roll into other flips, but the night before listing, while sitting around the campfire, we decided to roll the dice and keep the cabins and turn them into Vacation Rentals. That single decision has completely changed our lives and business plan. Owen and Kristin
