Pulling up to the cheery front porch of the Quilted Pony felt familiar, just like pulling up to the front door of your childhood home. As we walked in the front door, light from the skylight filled th...e kitchen with warmth and welcomed us alongside some delightful treats and a thoughtful note. We were particularly gleeful to see a little placard on the wall with instructions for making pancakes!
The way the Quilted Pony is tucked back in the trees makes you feel like you're truly stepping away from your everyday life. We got a fire going almost immediately in a lovely stone fire pit and settled in to make some hot dogs and s'mores. After enjoying some board games and deep night's sleep, we followed the instructions and prepared some pancakes before striking out to find a hiking trail between spurts of rain.
We retreated back into the cozy comfort of the Quilted Pony as an overnight storm rolled in. Sitting in the hot tub on the back porch and listening to the rain pelt the roof was the perfect way to wrap up our relaxing little runaway.

My husband and I are transplants from Hawaii. We are always asked "Why would you leave such a beautiful place?" If you look around to all the beauty of Mt Rainier and the surrounding area you would know the answer. The changing of the seasons, cold weather and snow. That is new and different to us.
We own a small farm in Tacoma, Washington near Puyallup. We have cows, chickens, goats, ducks, geese, a horse, dogs and cats. When we can get away we like to go back home to Hawaii to visit family and friends. Other than that we like to go to our cabin in Ashford for the day. I love to quilt. As time goes on you will see them in the cabin.
We are all about the aloha spirit and hospitality. What better feeling than to make someone feel welcome.

One of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere, the food and the cider was all amazing. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit for a table, but don't let that deter you because it is 100% worth the wait.
