Tintenbarn is a custom designed, brand new barn-style accommodation. It is fully furnished with rustic style decor. It is surrounded by lush gardens, trees, bird life and serenity. You'll have everything you need to relax, unwind, rest and absorb the Byron Hinterlands and surrounds.
It's located in a quiet but central location close to Alstonville , Ballina , Newrybar , Lennox head, and Byron Bay.

The SPACE

You'll have your own private access, so you're free to come and go as you like.
You'll be at home with air conditioning, ceiling fans, full sized washing machine and laundry tub. There's an outdoor eating area, outdoor shower, gardens, lots of space and plenty of gorgeous spots to explore locally.

Tintenbarn is the perfect spot for a relaxing time in the Northern Rivers. It's close to all the major hotspots in the area. The barn itself is cosy and immaculately designed.

Dayne is an excellent ...host. He gave us plenty of tips for the area, kept the barn stocked up with things we may need, and was just always on hand if we needed anything.

We'll be back.

The Magnificent Killen Falls

We drove the beautiful scenic country roads to Killen Falls. After a short walk down a track, along the beautiful babbling river, we arrived at a large pool at the base. Nature really put on a show as the light trickled through the mist from the falls, creating magical sun beams. This is the perfect spot to cool off and enjoy a picnic.

Killen Falls

The falls are covered by greenery that covers itself over the damp rock walls, exploring the area will have you feeling like you are in your own secret paradise as you listen to the cascading waterfall. Walk along the boardwalk to a viewing platform situated on the clifftop overlooking the falls. Take a picnic to the Rous Reserve picnic area and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the natural waterfall.

Lennox Head Beach

We enjoyed fish n' chips one afternoon at Lennox Head beach watching the plentiful birdlife feeding in the changing tides. The water is temperate, perfect for swimming all year round.

Harvest Newrybar

This beautiful restaurant and deli located in the tiny town of Newrybar pride itself on using only the freshest local and organic produce sourced from across the Northern Rivers. If you're after a great breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just a quick coffee, this is a must-do!

Lake Ainsworth

Lake Ainsworth, scattered with tea-trees is very popular with locals and visitors. The lake is located at the northern end of Pacific Parade and is has excellent barbecue and picnic facilities. Swim between the salty ocean and the fresh water lake on a warm summers day. It's also suitable for stand-up paddle, kayaking and canoeing.

Sunset At Tea Tree Lake

We spent a lazy, rejuvenating afternoon at Lake Ainsworth, also known as 'Tea Tree Lake'. The water has a unique deep red hue, due to the oils infused from the surrounding trees. We watched the ducks and rowers glide across the surface as the sun crept lower in the sky.
