After a beautiful drive through the Northern Cascades area, we arrived at Glacier Springs Cabin and immediately felt right at home. The modern floor plan and expansive windows dazzled us with the open, and natural light while the classic pacific northwest touches made us extra cozy. The cabin was stocked full of all the necessary amenities to make our stay relaxed and easy, although it was very close to everything we might need in town.

We spent the first day enjoying the cabin by watching movies on one of the flatscreen TVs, cooking a beautiful meal, then hanging out in the hot tub. The next morning we woke up early to enjoy coffee and breakfast at the Wake and Bakery, then we went on to Nook Sack Falls. After a quick stop at the local grocery store to pick up dinner and firewood, we settled back into the cabin for dinner, smores by the beautiful outdoor firepit followed by another dip in the hot tub.

On the last day, we had a lazy morning and enjoyed the early morning light creating the most beautiful light and shadow play throughout the entire place. We sipped coffee on the heated outdoor patio and made a simple yet wonderful breakfast. The rest of the afternoon we explore the Mount Baker wilderness area some more and then headed back to the city.

This was the perfect escape for anyone near Seattle who wants to get away and enjoy a modern, yet classic pacific northwest cabin close to everything Mount Baker has to offer.
