La Pinata - That's Amore

After spending days Googling 'homemade pizza dough', we packed our bags and were ready for our Italian-inspired adventure at La Pinata.

Our mood changed with the quality of the air as we drove past vast fields of cattle and flora. The road to La Pinata was straight out of a Disney movie as butterflies emerged and streams of sunlight broke through the trees. Just past the horses, alpacas and deer we finally arrived at our home for the weekend.

La Pinata is an eclectic 7-bedroom home that sleeps 12 guests, yet feels cosy and homely. You are surrounded by 400-acres of rich, country land and more varieties of animals that you can count on both hands. The property boasts an outdoor pizza oven (more on that later), a BBQ, fire pits and enough dining space for the whole Italian family!

The location of La Pinata is stunning with close-ish access to Bathurst, Orange and The Blue Mountains. More importantly, your nearest winery is only 15 minutes away.

Whilst the property was stunning, the most stunning feature was the hosts, Rosa and John. They were both incredibly kind and caring and made sure we had the warmest stay we could. Rosa prepared fresh Italian coffee each morning and John kindly helped us out with our pizza dough (we had no chance...)

If country escapes are your thing, be sure to get La Pinata on your must-visit list. Amore.

As you exit La Pinata through the front gate, follow the house around until you reach the pine-tree clearing. Follow this path (grab some blackberries on the way) for your own private sunrise show over the rolling hills of the surrounding area. Stunning.

La Pinata is located on 400-acres of stunning land. There is a loop that takes you around the whole property but any path you decide to take will be stunning. Spot the deer, alpaca, cats, horses, peacocks, chickens and more as you explore the site.
