Lookout Lodge is nestled in Sudden Valley, about 10 miles from Bellingham in Northern Washington. Sudden Valley is an apt name for the region because some of the roads to this house are quite steep! But you are rewarded for your efforts with a house that is right in nature and feels secluded, even though you have neighbors on both sides.

A huge, airy, open-plan living room and kitchen greets you when you walk in the door. There's a wood-burning stove that provides plenty of warmth and ambiance, but there's also traditional heating as well as A/C if it's too warm. A reading nook right by the fire is perfect for curling up with your newest novel, or to watch the 65-inch TV with all the streaming services. A dining table that seats eight will make hosting a breeze, and don't worry about getting your morning started right, as there are fresh beans and a grinder provided along with a traditional coffee maker and French press. Three bedrooms provide beds for six people as well as an air mattress for two more downstairs. Just a 20-minute drive away is the adorable town of Fairhaven, which you can walk around, or Larrabee State Park and Stimpson or Lookout Mountain reserves if you're looking for something more active.
