Untangling at Tanglewood
Adventure in Belmont, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
Set in a giant veggie garden grown by the host, this warm and cosy bungalow left us feeling completely rejuvenated. Our adventure began with a sunrise ferry ride from Sorrento to Queenscliff, and before checking into the bungalow, we found the perfect place for breakfast and coffee – the Queenscliff General Store & Take Away.
We picked a few veggies from the property's garden, made an easy lunch then headed for Erskine Falls to enjoy a little timeout in nature. And when we returned to the bungalow, we ran a hot outdoor bath, kicked back and watched the stars come alive.

Things We Did
- Boat
- Takeaway
- Waterfall
We live on the Mornington Peninsula, so we used the Sorrento–Queenscliff ferry to briefly shorten the travel time to Belmont (and because it's a hoot!). It could also be enjoyed as an exciting daytime activity.
Located in the historic town of Queenscliff and popular with the locals, this lovely little general store and cafe has amazing coffee, super-friendly staff and delicious food. Not eating in? They have a takeaway window serving all your favourites.
Situated behind Lorne and deep in the Otway Rainforest lies the beautiful and verdant Erskine Falls. Listen to the local wildlife and fresh running water, open your heart and just be. Life is good.
