Port Campbell Wonders
Adventure in Port Campbell, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
What a treat to head back to Port Campbell again for the weekend. It had been a while since our last visit and we were desperate to escape the city for some fresh, crisp air and outdoor adventure.
Woodlands by the Sea served as the perfect home base while exploring the local area. The house is spacious inside and out and equipped with everything we needed. We arrived after a beautiful scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road and enjoyed some wine and snacks by the living room fire. Though it was difficult to leave such a cosy abode, we decided to venture out to catch the sunset at the iconic 12 Apostles. We were treated to a beautiful golden sky when we arrived and happily watched the sun set behind a view that never gets old.
We woke up early on Saturday to catch the sunrise at Gibson Steps which was only a 15-minute drive away. We walked up and down the beach in awe of the dramatic cliff line before heading to the Otways to explore some foggy rainforest trails. It was a real highlight to stumble upon some quiet, hidden roads filled with lush green trees and ferns. We then decided to make our way to Timboon Distillery where we enjoyed some Australian Whisky tasting and delicious food. It was quite impressive to see such as vast range of whisky and spirits; a shame we couldn’t try them all!
Our final night consisted of nothing but relaxing in front of the fire, sipping hot tea while looking through the amazing memories we captured on our cameras....
