Secluded Spa Cottage

This was a wonderful getaway to truly switch off from our busy lives and enjoy the beautiful Great Ocean Road. This cute cabin was not only perfectly placed along Victoria's famous Great Ocean Road, but also surrounded by Helen and Julian's farm with 280 acres of land and all sorts of animals.

Mornings were spent keeping warm with a coffee by the fireplace. We enjoyed our time exploring the farm, feeding the animals and even collecting some eggs and picking fresh herbs from their veggie garden for dinner.

We drove around the region on our second day and within 30 minutes you'll find some some gorgeous rainforest walks, as well as the Californian redwoods and plenty of waterfalls to choose from. We then ate lunch in Apollo Bay and made our way home feeling completely refreshed after a very relaxing weekend.

One of my favourite spots along the coast is Johanna Beach. It's not a place to swim, but is still a beautiful beach with stunning views. I love the sunsets or watching the few surfers who brave the intense swell here.

Both destinations are very close together and a nice, easy walk. The redwoods provided a peaceful, quiet and calming place to simply be, while Triplet Falls was stunning thanks to a full dump of rain the night before we visited.

A beautiful walk we did on our way to Apollo Bay. It's nice and short and this little section of rainforest is absolutely beautiful.
