Sea Folk Slow Down
Adventure in Cape Woolamai, Phillip Island, VIC, AU
We packed the car, signed off and sped out of town towards Phillip Island. Sea Folk Beach House sits at the base of the island’s most scenic beaches and walking trails, and was the relaxing time out of town we needed.
Hidden behind the main beach road, Sea Folk Beach House has an authentic beach-house feel and is fully kitted out for you and your crew (dogs included). Seeking time to ourselves, we opted to stay in, cook dinner and make a mess in the kitchen. Each day, we followed the sunshine from spot to spot, finally settling in the hammock with our books.
Footsteps away, there’s a lot to uncover. The highlight of our weekend was exploring the nearby 308-acre Cape Woolamai State Faunal Reserve – bring your walking shoes! The various walking tracks gently wind around the south-east of the island, with terrain that gently shifts from sand to dirt (to mud). We recommend going early — aside from the wallabies, we had the entire reserve to ourselves for hours! If you want company, however, you will quickly find some furry friends (and friendly owners) at the local dog beach.
Whether you're after a beach getaway or some time outdoors, Sea Folk Beach House is perfectly placed for you to step out of town, slow down and explore.
