A Tranquil Coastal Escape
Adventure in Lincoln City, Central Coast, OR, US
My best girlfriends and I arrived at this charming ocean view home SO thrilled to spend some time away together and explore a part of the Oregon Coast we'd never visited before. We were totally blown away by how cute and thoughtful all the decor in the home was, but truly the best part was the deck overlooking the ocean (which was only a couple of blocks away!). This home was the perfect base for us to get out each day and see new beaches, try new foods, and check out the local stores.
On the first evening together we chatted for hours with wine on the deck while the sun warmed our skin under the breezy sky. Since we arrived shortly before dinner time, we headed out to Pelican Brewery for a late dinner and drinks. The new restaurant was so stunning and overlooked the ocean, with pristine seagrass blowing in the wind.
In the morning, feeling rejuvenated after an early start with breakfast on the porch (while keeping an eye out for whales!) and headed out for the day. Our first few stops were all to different beaches. We walked the shoreline, played on the driftwood logs, and watched the local entertainment of sea lions and pelicans sunbathing and fishing. After the beach we checked out some local thrift shops and coffee shops, then headed back to the house for lunch. Soaking up quality time together in the sun was our afternoon delight, then we ended the day with a fancy seafood dinner overlooking the ocean.
On our last morning, we woke up early to make it to the Road's End Tide Pools at low tide to see some ocean life. It was such a fun way to start the day with a fresh salty ocean breeze in our hair and sand between our toes.

Things We Did
- Beach
- Restaurant
- Walk
We walked the shoreline on both the south and north end of Siletz Bay, starting by Pelican Brewery and ending on the historic road. Highly recommend walking to the mouth of the Siletz River, which is where we saw a massive group of sea lions and pelicans basking in the sun and fishing!
Make sure to check the timing for low tide and get your morning stretch in by walking down the beach to the Roads End Tide Pools! It was so fun to look at all the starfish, hermit crabs, snails, mussels, and much more!
With beautiful views, we shared a wonderful seafood dinner on the beach at Kyllo's.
Right next to the house are several large blackberry bushes that were perfectly ripe for picking!
