Easy Like a Natural Sunday

As soon as we noticed the house, we were filled with anticipation. The grand, barn-shaped structures were unmistakable, and though they don't give much away from the front, our curiosity for what lies within was well and truly piqued.

Stepping inside produced a simultaneous 'Wow' from us all and you can see why. The sheer scale and size of the building, with a floating fireplace in the centre looking through to the long dining table and beyond, made for quite the first impression.

Over the next few days, we basked in the property's cosy, rustic beach-house atmosphere. The kitchen is any home cook's dream and we served up a hearty pie one evening for dinner. The outdoor space, with the generous tub and fire pit, really helped us to switch off and enjoy the company of family and friends.

The home provided the perfect base and as we popped out for our various short adventures, it always welcomed us back with open arms. The time flew, but that's the sign of a good trip.

Treat yourself to an elevated view of Port Campbell. We stumbled across this trail after a post-lunch stroll on the beach, crossing the creek via the suspension bridge before joining the path. Be sure to stomp!

Nestled in quiet Port Campbell, away from the waves, Forage offers a delicious and well-earned lunch. Do yourself a favour and order the camembert baked eggs, the dish you never knew you needed.

Golden hour at its finest. Well worth setting an alarm for 30 minutes before sunset and heading here for a walk on the beach.

This charming motel and cafe is a real treat. Inside felt cosy and familiar, like visiting a relatives house. Outside, we met Bear the labrador puppy!

Depending on the time of year, treat or challenge yourself with a revitalising dip at Worm Bay. In our case it was the latter!

Timboon's renowned whisky distillery is a must. The food was outstanding, which we shared family style and followed with a whisky flight digestif to cap it off.

After lunch at the distillery, we opted for dessert at the ice creamery – a good decision. With flavours like gingerbread and apple pie, how could you not?
