A Breath of Fresh Glenaire
Adventure in Glenaire, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
Glenaire is situated just beyond Cape Ottway along the Great Ocean Road and may get overlooked as tourists hit the last stretch of road towards the 12 Apostles. Make no mistake, if you stop in this town and make it home for the weekend, you won't be disappointed.
As soon as you pull into the drive, it becomes clear you will be immersed in the peace and tranquillity of a natural wonderland for the remainder of your stay. The property's views are enough to throw away any weekend plans and take up a permanent seat on the deck, or in the spa!
We decided to do some amazing adventures in the surrounding region. A trip to Timboon is well worth it, if not just for whiskey lovers at the local distillery, and all the other foodie destinations along the 12 Apostles Food Artisans Trail. We also headed out to the Lord Ard Gorge just passed the 12 Apostles and took in a peaceful morning sunrise at Castle Cove Lookout.
We enjoyed the remainder of our stay at the property playing with the local rosellas, getting lost in our books by the fire and indulging in wine, cheese and all the good things in life.

Castle Cove lookout is along the Great Ocean We took in the sunrise and enjoyed a stroll along the unoccupied beach below.
A family-run distillery, known for its premium whiskey range. Enjoy a nice meal accompanied by a whiskey-tasting paddle.
A tranquil little walk among some beautiful ancient trees. Get lost exploring the ferny, mossy and mystique of the rainforest.
A spectacular Gorge along the Great Ocean Road. We took it all in while walking along the beach, with a few short walks to various viewing platforms.
