The Royale of Bundeena
Adventure in Bundeena, Sydney, NSW, AU
The Royale strikes a rarely seen balance of the very best of eclectic 50’s & 60’s design paired seamlessly with cutting-edge technology & new age amenities.
The Royale is located in the beautiful village of Bundeena on the outskirts of Sydney, as you turn off the highway the ribbon of blacktop stretches out through native bush that prepares you for the relaxing beachside oasis that awaits. The Royale itself, with stunning attention to detail, is absolutely on point, and the delightful pops of colour in every room really lift your mood. Inspired by 1960/70 decor mixed with top-of-the-line creature comforts, this place is a real treasure, from the vintage arcade gaming machines to the pinked-out retro bathrooms. I felt like I was living on a tropical island surrounded by beautiful birds and nature. Only 150-meter walk to the beach and 300 meters to the shops and cafes. There is so much to do in this area, with trails through the national park, Wedding Cake Rock is very popular, I wanted to see the figure 8 pools but the tides need to be just right. There was so much to enjoy right on our doorstep we didn’t feel the need for too many adventures out of our way, the locals were all just too friendly and made us feel at home.

Things We Did
- Standup Paddle
- Walk
- Sunset
- Beach
- Café
- Experience
One of many great things that The Royale has to offer is its own stand-up paddle board to use. Bundeena Beach looked like a glassy lake at night, a perfect way to enjoy the calm as the sun sets
One of the locals said, "we used to call it the Cheese Cake Rock". I love this beautiful piece of landscape. Like anything it won't last forever so I recommend checking it out. Not to mention the glorious walks you can take to get there.
Enjoy a twilight stroll filled with bird songs, to watch the sunset at Hordern's beach.

Spend the day with your family at the beautiful Horderns Beach.
If you don't feel like cooking your own breakfast or coffee I would recommend checking out the Driftwood Cafe just up the road!
Enjoy a beautiful coastal walk in the Royal National Park.
Go back in time and enjoy your inner child with the fun vintage arcade game in the guest room downstairs!
