Lost Near Lothlorien

Our stay in Mt Beauty in Lothlorien was a relaxing and re-invigorating experience. I hadn't spent much time near Mt Beauty so decided to adventure as much as I could on foot. We tore ourselves away from the relaxing hold of Lothlorien to explore the Mt Beauty Gorge with the new Nikon Z9 to capture some epic imagery.
Starting with a snack at Grass Valley Refreshments we set out on foot to the Gorge, we could only travel half the distance on the track with the river height being so high, however, it's somewhere I'll come back to as the unique suspension bridge and the canyon either side of you is a classic spot for photographers.
On the final day, we adventured back to Mt Buffalo with friends. The locations of the home in Victoria’s High Country lend themselves to outdoor adventures, so bouldering and exploring some of the more extreme areas of Buffalo definitely offered that opportunity to us.

An easy walk with big results, a classic suspension bridge made for photographing the history of the area, and many great viewpoints along a short and achievable walk.
Some tasty treats from the team at GVR - probably the best Ruben sandwich you will have. Open year-round for your trips up to Falls Creek for summer Mountain Biking, or in Winter when you need that warm treat before hitting the slopes.
The slightly more extreme side of Mt Buffalo, adventuring in Caves, bouldering and exploring the rocky faces - Mt Buffalo has everything from cruisy walks all the way to the more extreme adventure.
