Cozy Snowy Escape to Snowline

We arrived at our cabin late in the afternoon and immediately made ourselves at home in the cozy space. We were then delighted as the next morning we arose to a winter wonderland just outside our door! So, we donned our coats and toques and embarked on a drive along scenic route 542 toward Mount Baker, with a stop at the incredible Nooksack Falls - just minutes from our cabin! Admiring the combination of vibrant autumn foliage and green moss all covered in snow. On a cold, snowy day like this, we were glad we didn't have to go far or stay out in the cold too long to enjoy the great scenery this area has to offer.

After our drive, we hurried back inside to cozy up by the fireplace with a hot bowl of soup and quiche fresh from the oven as Ella and Louis serenaded us on the speaker. We spent the remainder of the evening in a blissful state of disconnect, reading books, playing music with each other, and of course topping off our hot toddies.

The next morning admittedly we were sad to leave but thankful for the chance to disconnect and enjoy some calm solitude in such a beautiful little pocket of the Pacific Northwest!
