Weekend Glamping Oasis

Fresh mountain air, secluded rural landscapes, five curious llamas, a well-lit campfire and a night sky scattered with a million stars was the exact escape we'd been craving. Staying at Tanjenong Camp is honestly a glamping experience like no other: it was a complete adventure, while still being highly luxurious.

After a 3 hour drive from Sydney to Tanjenong Camp, we arrived on a long dirt-road, with 5 rather curious Llama's to great us upon arrival at the camp's gate. After getting out of the car to stretch after the drive, the first thing you notice is the beautiful valley that sprawls behind the glamping tents and that fresh mountain air.

Located an hour between Goulburn and Oberon, Tanjenong Camp provided us with that extra bit of peace - a complete lack of phone cellular service and no wifi: which is exactly what we were after with our city-escape.

The glamping tents in Yiri at Tanjenong Camp, are extremely luxurious and of the highest quality. I couldn’t believe it when I arrived and experienced it first-hand. Especially as I had never been glamping before - and really didn't know what to expect.

Every utensil on our campsite was provided, the bed was so comfortable - that it felt like a literal cloud and the on-site bathroom were of the highest standards for a camping ground. Not to mention the showers had a direct view of the valley below you, and it felt like an experience you would get at a luxury hotel.

Staying at Tanjenong Camp is honestly a glamping experience like no other: it was a complete adventure, while still being highly luxurious.

The whole experience within itself at Yiri - Tanjenong Camp was quite the adventure, but as soon as the sun fell behind the mountains at dusk, and the night sky started to light up with millions stars - one by one, I rugged myself up in warm clothes (3-4 layers in Winter to be exact), and sat on a bench with my telescope that I had brought, my camera and my tripod for a few hours and soaked up the bright beauty of the Full Moon and the Milky Way that was shining directly over our glamping tent....

As per Deb and Rob's request while you stay at Tanjenong, don't feed the wildlife - including the llama's (no matter how cute they are), it's not good for them....
