Charming Countryside Getaway
Adventure in Primrose Valley, Country NSW, NSW, AU
We arrived at Foxlow Quarters late at night, but in the morning when we stepped outside, we were immediately struck by the scenery surrounding us. The golden leaves crunched under our feet as we walked towards the river, while mystical fog rolled among the hills. It really added a touch of mystery to the already beautiful countryside landscape.
Our stay at Foxlow Quarters had those perfect autumn vibes - the layers of moving clouds outside, enjoying a hot cups of tea, soaking in a warm bath while it rained outside and snuggling by the fire with a glass of red. No better way to spend an autumn weekend.
The romance and nostalgic vibe of the accommodation added to the charm of our stay. It was clear that the owners had taken great care in renovating the historic building, giving it a modern touch without losing its character. The surrounding farmland and snow gum woodland gave us plenty of space to wander around and enjoy the peace and quiet.
As our little autumn getaway came to an end, we left Foxlow Quarters feeling rejuvenated and and refreshed.

Things We Did
- Bike
- Café
- Winery
Constructed in 1896, the Foxlow Bridge functioned as the primary route to Sydney. Today it's a quite road where bikers and hikers can enjoy exploring the scenic countryside.
If you happen to be in the area and look for a delicious coffee and great service - The Gathering Cafe is a place to go to. We were lucky that around the corner there was a cute little market as well, with local makers selling their artful creations.
What do you do when it's raining all weekend? You head out to the vineyards. We stopped for lunch and a delicious glass of red while admiring the orange leaves across the vineyard.
