Zulu Land is a unique, enchanting and stylish African themed studio with everything you need for a beautiful stay. It has stunning African decor and artefacts, which will make you feel you’ve been transported straight to an African Savanna. We felt as though we had our own little slice of paradise with a gorgeous view from the front of the studio, which looks over the valley. If you are lucky, you may even spot a family of kangaroos! The deck was perfect for sitting and basking in the sun and enjoying a cuppa or for morning yoga.
The studio also helps raise money for Conversation Solutions, an organisation that helps rescue and relocate endangered African wildlife - a great choice for a place to unwind, feel zen and relax while also helping out a good cause.
Zulu Land is also perfectly located within Daylesford with an abundance of activities and places to explore nearby. We went for dinner and drinks at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Trentham. The service and atmosphere were super friendly and relaxed, and we had a great time wining and dining. The historic, charming pub has a lot of character, great ambiance and was a cosy place to be on a cold winters night.
In the morning, we headed to Daylesford Sunday Market, an iconic market which runs each Sunday with an array of stallholders and a railway where you can ride historic trains. We grabbed some handmade goodies and produce to take back with us. The market is definitely worth checking out if you will be staying over the weekend.
We then explored the beautiful Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens which is set atop an extinct volcano. The gardens feature gorgeous scenery, ferns and trees, as well as a lookout with views of Daylesford. Afterwards we grabbed a hot chocolate at The Daylesford Hot Chocolate Company to warm us up before visiting the new Big Rainbow landmark at Victoria Park - a monument representing pride.
Zulu Land is a great choice for some rejuvenation and relaxation, and the perfect base to explore the lovely Daylesford and surrounds.
