FreedOm Space: A Coastal Farm Escape
Adventure in Broken Head, North Coast, NSW, AU
My partner and I recently embarked on an unforgettable weekend adventure at FreedOm Space in Broken Head. Leaving on Friday, our excitement was beaming as we quickly stocked up on groceries and hit the road towards the Byron Bay Hinterland. Spotting a sign that read 'FreedOm' with a guiding arrow, we knew we were on the right path to our soon-to-be oasis.
Following the signs up the dirt road, we arrived at FreedOm Space. A charming tiny home greeted us with a spacious interior. This eco-friendly, off-grid retreat, powered by solar energy, featured comfortable double beds, a generous bathroom, and breathtaking views. Panoramic greenery stretched as far as the eye could see, with the distant sound of the ocean in the background.
Our weekend was filled with leisurely moments by the pond, where ducks glided as a family. We set the mood with music, stocked the fridge, and enjoyed a cosy evening by the fire pit with a movie. Our sleep that night was so restful.
As dawn broke the next morning, we boiled the kettle and soaked in the beauty of our surroundings. Every moment was savoured, from the scents to the natural sounds. Given the scorching weather, we decided to cool off at Lake Ainsworth in Lennox Head, a natural tea tree lake spanning 12 hectares. Its fresh, soothing, and invigorating cola-coloured water took us by surprise. Afterwards, we relaxed at the Lennox Head Kiosk, sipping flat whites and enjoying live local music.
With a barbecue, outdoor bath and fire pit waiting for us at our tiny home, we stopped at Lennox Head Butchery & Deli for a fresh cattleman cutlet and some oysters, ensuring a delicious sunset dinner. Before heading back, we took a quick detour to Boulder Beach for another fresh dip. Nestled against lush cliffs, this rocky beach was a hidden gem. On our way home, we picked up bags of ice to challenge ourselves with invigorating ice baths.
Back at FreedOm Space, we strummed the guitar, lost ourselves in our books, and cherished the tranquil moments, occasionally visited by three beautiful horses. The property and its surroundings left us so inspired that we began plotting our return. If you're yearning for a weekend getaway that leaves you replenished, inspired, and immersed in the charm of coastal farm life, FreedOm Space is the perfect escape. The warm hosts enhance the experience, making it even more memorable.
