Goin' with the Flo
Adventure in Lake Charm, Murray River, VIC, AU
Sunset was arriving just as I did, and there was Flo. She is a vintage caravan nestled in the bush, waiting for me to make myself right at home. Fairy lights boarded the inside edges fitted with a reading nook, kitchen and large bed full of pillows to dive right into. Outside Flo on her deck was a gas BBQ and outdoor sink made from a vintage metal bucket. The rain water from the tap flowed freely, just as did the trees dancing in the golden light.
I set off to the lake for a sunset paddle. It was so flat, with only some fish jumping and birds flying by. I had the entire lake to myself. I sat still on the board drifting into the sunset that evening. I remember feeling so at peace. My mind, body and spirit felt calm. A moment in time I'll remember forever. I skipped on back to Flo and lit up the outdoor fire under the stars. Brilliant night for star gazing in the outdoor tub - and that is exactly what I did as I cheered to the moon.
I woke up late the next day to the sound of birds. Popped the kettle on while still in bed and read my book for most of the morning. A breakfast basket arrived full of delicious goodness! Homemade jams, berries and warm croissants! Gosh, how I love the smell of baked goods!
Finishing off with a peaceful afternoon at camp - I spent the sweet time unplugged from the rest of the world. And that my friends, was the kinda vibe that Flo'd right into the night...

Things We Did
- Lake

- Starry sky
Stand up paddle boards, bikes and a kayak are all part of your stay with Flo. Lake Charm is directly across from camp and some cheeky beers with a picnic is a wise idea to put into play!
Around the lake you can find some wooden jettys. I chose to watch the sunset one evening on the jetty although this place would be awesome to photograph some stars too!
Flo, the vintage caravan has made her home in the bush land right under the stars! I was lucky enough to have a night where I could wrap myself a cozy blanket by the fire and watch the stars twinkle into the night.
