The Farmhouse on the hill

Seeing the long tree-lined driveway pulling up to the property, I knew immediately that we were in for a treat. The Otway Views Farm is surrounded by paddocks full of cows, tree plantations, and stunning panoramic views over the Otways.

We explored the property, and all agreed we did not want to leave! Pool... check, in-ground trampoline... check, swing overlooking the views... check, fire pit... check, pool table... check - and that's only the half of it! Over home made pizza's in the pizza oven that evening, we planned the rest of our trip.

Friday morning, after a cosy sleep in, we made coffee and soaked in the views from lounge room's floor to ceiling windows! A slow morning with the kids playing outside and the adults enjoying the seriously comfy Jardan sofa and views, we decided on lunch, at Prickly Moses Brewing, and we were not disappointed.

On the drive back to the farm, we stopped in at Foothills Organic to get some yummy local produce for our roast lamb dinner at the Farmhouse.
After our roast dinner, we walked down to the viewing platform that overlooks the otways and were treated to the most magical pink and orange sunset with a wine in hand.

Saturday morning we fueled up with eggs and bacon on the BBQ and local sourdough from Otway Artisan in Birregurra, and agreed a mid-morning walk down to the spring dam near the Californian Redeem plantation was in order. Wandering through the green rollling hills and 360 degree views was the perfect end to our trip. Although we didn't really want to leave, reality called.

The Otway Views Farm is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy a wine with friends. Let the kids run free with the acres of space and activities around the farm, and soak in the wonderful country air and impressive views.

We stopped off at Foothills Organic, a honesty stall on the side of the road with the freshest produce to cook back at the Farmhouse. We cooked a delicious roast with yummy veggies!
