Tranquil Trentham Hideaway

Our rainy weekend in this tiny home was the ideal mix of off-grid excitement and snug relaxation.

Inside is a comforting sanctuary with an indoor fireplace, offering solace from the rain and enveloping us in a cocoon of soothing warmth all weekend. The wood-fired sauna gave us a grounding experience with an enchanting view of the Wombat State Forest. What better way to unwind; amidst steam, surrounded by nature?

When the forest called, we went on an exhilarating mountain bike-ride straight from the property! The nearby fire trails, suggested by the hosts, provided a great (and convenient!) experience, winding amongst the trees that surrounded us.

Exploring beyond the nearby was a breeze, thanks to the tiny home's proximity to charming towns like Trentham and Daylesford. We were able to get comforting meals and groceries nearby, including indulging in breakfast at the nearby Red Beard Bakery and leisurely strolls through the Daylesford Sunday Market.

What a treat to be staying at a tiny house right next to the Hampton Ridge Raspberry Farm! Amongst rows of bushes, we sought out those vibrant raspberries, ripe from late December to early February. Our trip came a bit too early for harvest time, but we are now definitely inspired to return soon!

Armed with a jaffle iron courtesy of our awesome hosts, we were able to feast on jaffles for dinner! There's a certain thrill in hearing the sizzles and crackles while you play the waiting game for that mouthwatering dinner...

We kicked off our Saturday with a breakfast feast at RedBeard Bakery. Those breakfast pies? Utterly divine. We couldn't resist taking a piece of RedBeard's magic home—we walked out with a freshly baked loaf of sourdough and a jar of their marmalade.
