Beauty At Banksia
Adventure in Kangaroo Valley, Country NSW, NSW, AU
The more I visitKangaroo Valley, the more I realise how much it's an Australian Gem. I must have visited a dozen times, yet every time I do, I discover something amazing about this small town. This time, it was Banksia.
Now if you've seen my other stories, I'm an absolute sucker for a tiny house, and Banksia really ticked all the boxes I look for from a tiny home; a beautiful outlook, all the comforts of home, and not too remote because this city boy is really just a big chicken.
I love the excitement of when you pull up and get the first view of the tiny home... I won't ruin it for you, but Banksia definitely delivers on that front.
Then it was time to explore the location area which is FILLED with nature; we saw horses, kangaroos, birds and wombats up close and personal. The dam attracts so much nature, so if you're an animal lover, grab a front-row seat and enjoy.
Whilst Banksia feels disconnected, it's only a short drive to Kangaroo Valley and the nearby Southern Highlands - if you're a bit of a weekend adventurer like me. Why are you still reading? Get booking!

Things We Did
- Waterfall
- Grocer
- Hike
Every time I'm in the area, I visit Fitzroy Falls. It's easy to access, really impressive and a great nature reset after time in the city.
This is such a hidden gem in Kangaroo Valley. The food was incredible, the interior is beautiful and there's even an outside space in the back. Highly recommend.
This short hike will take you from breathtaking views of the national park, down into the wet falls. Such a treat.
