Rainforest escape in the Otways

This tiny house nestled in the heart of the Otways is the perfect place for a secluded getaway and to relax in nature. Surrounded by tall trees and lush ferns, the tiny is well-equipped with everything you need. There's comfortable bed linen, a fully equipped kitchen, dining table and a wood stove. Additionally, there is a mezzanine with two single beds.

During our stay, we spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the views whilst listening to the songbirds and rejuvenating in the wood-fired sauna.

On the first morning, we woke up to the sounds of birds singing and the stunning sunrise views through the bedroom window. We also had a wonderful time exploring the surrounding area. We stopped by the Gellibrand General Store for some delicious coffee and pies before visiting the Californian Redwoods forest and Hopetoun Falls, two must-see attractions in the Otway National Park.

In the evening, we returned to the tiny house to watch the sunset while sipping on a glass of wine and indulging in a cheese board by the outdoor fire pit.

On the last day, we woke up feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. After a lovely breakfast and a sauna session, it was time to leave this peaceful and quiet place to head back to Melbourne. If you're looking for a place to unwind and recharge, this is the perfect spot for you!

No better way to start the day than with a yoga session followed by some relaxing time in the sauna on the property. Get that hot/cold rejuvenating experience by alternating 10-15 min sauna with a quick cold outside shower.

On our way back to Melbourne we stopped by a cafe in Colac for lunch. We discovered this lovely cafe located by the lake. We enjoyed the incredible view while listening to Sunday live music. Plus, the food was delicious!

A must-visit waterfall in the Otways! This 30-metre waterfall is easily accessible. The upper platform is just a few meters from the car park. The lower platform is a one-kilometre return trip – allow half an hour.
