We arrived at Otway Eco Retreat by twilight, greeted by the tranquil embrace of the wilderness. The spaciousness of the property welcomed us, seamlessly merging with the lush expanse of the Otways. Maya's wonder at the floor-to-ceiling windows was palpable, while Paula headed straight to the library to explore its offerings.
The next morning, greeted by kangaroos, we enjoyed a peaceful breakfast, each finding our own solace: Paula in yoga, myself with a book on the verandah, and Maya exploring the toy room. After a Middle Eastern feast at Dar Teta and a stroll along Lorne beach, our hearts yearned for the retreat's sanctuary.
Back at the retreat, bathed in the glow of a sunset, we strummed guitars, indulged in homemade pizza, and savored wine, all against the backdrop of the Otways. It was a moment of pure connection with nature, heightened by the knowledge that the property was all solar powered. We felt part of the Otways!
Embarked on a tranquil 10-minute hike to the majestic Erskine Falls, embraced by nature's symphony amid its grand cascade. Right side is a great spot for photos!
