Off The Grid
Adventure in Pennyroyal, Great Ocean Road, VIC, AU
From the moment we arrived at The Lookout, we felt a quiet calm. The sun was shining, the forest was quietly bustling with native birds and animals, and there was nothing to do but disconnect from our phones, slow down and enjoy the view.
We were blown away by how comfortable and relaxed we felt - our own private treehouse overlooking the Otways. The Lookout is only a 15 minute drive from Lorne, where we ducked down for supplies, it is truly is a hidden gem. We spent our days watching the sunsets, drinking wine by the fire, and just switching off from the stress of everyday life.
With a spa bath, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and infared sauna all on site, there was really no reason to leave - and when we didn't feel like cooking, the restaurants of Lorne were just a short drive down the hill. A truly magical stay!

Just outside of the main town of Lorne is Teddy's Lookout, offering incredible views over the Great Ocean Rd, surrounded by native flora & fauna.
We explored the town centre of Lorne, stopping in to The Bottle of Milk for a quick lunch. We had some delicious burgers followed by a walk on the beach, just across the road.
For the last night of our adventure we drive down the hill into Lorne, where we enjoyed some delicious cocktails and tacos at the iconic Mexican Republic.
The onsite infrared sauna is incredible. Just a short walk from the cabin, and taking in beautiful forest views.
