We had planned this Bellingen weekend getaway for ages, and when finally Friday arrived, we were so excited. We headed south to the Never Never Cabin in high spirits!

We were in awe of the views as soon as we arrived. The backdrop of mountains took our breath away, and sound of the river running closeby was instantly soothing. We ran around the cabin checking everything out, it was such a spacious and well thought out space. That night, we headed into town to check out the local brewery. Inside, guitars strummed, and laughter filled the air as they found a cozy spot near the stage.

Saturday dawned bright and sunny, perfect for exploration, and the Never Never River beckoned. The property has it's own private section accessing the river, which was pure bliss. We spent hours floating lazily in the crystal clear green water, and basking in the sunshine on the banks of the river.

After our breakfast of delish homemade granola left by the hosts, we strolled through Bellingen's streets, stopping at a café for coffee and browsing local shops. Bags filled with snacks, we returned to our porch with the most stunning view, enjoying a glass of vine and a platter filled with local goodness.

Our second night in Bellingen was one to remember. We dined at Three Blue Ducks, savouring scrumptious farm-to-table delights. The service was incredible, dishes packed with flavour, and all with such a fun atmosphere. We couldn't fault our dinner and dining experice.

Sunday brought a final dip in the river, before we ventured home vowing to come back. We never ever wanted to the the Never Never Cabin.
