As we crested the hill and caught our first glimpse of the Cottage with its magnificent view, we knew we were in for a treat.

A soak in the outdoor tub sat at the top of our to-do list, and as we relaxed into the hot water the worries of the world dissolved faster than the bath-bomb. As day turned to night we shifted inside to the warmth of a crackling fire, before finally falling asleep fully contented beneath the sheets of the oh-so-cozy bed.

The next morning we made a lazy brunch with the fresh eggs and milk provided by our lovely hosts. Later we explored the property’s nature trails and crossed the newly constructed bridge to access the wetland boardwalks. We closed out the afternoon with a visit to Kariotahi beach where we watched the paragliders ride the wind along the cliffs while quads rode up and down the length of the beach.

After a long day out, there was nothing we wanted more than to relax in the warmth of the outdoor bath. With a favorite drink in hand, we enjoyed every minute soaking in the views and watching the sunset. We can't wait to come back.
