Escape to Haven Tropicana
Adventure in Emerald Beach, North Coast, NSW, AU
We arrived at Haven Tropicana for a much-needed two-night escape, nestled in the perfect spot close to the stunning beaches. From the moment we stepped into our cozy retreat, it felt like a home away from home.
Our favourite spot quickly became the spacious outdoor deck with its comfortable hammock. It overlooked lush tropical gardens where birds flitted gracefully, gathering at the feeders. The bedrooms were light-filled and airy, offering the perfect retreat after a day of adventure. The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need to cook, making it easy to whip up breakfast or dinner when we wanted a quiet evening at home.
Our first morning was spent with a refreshing swim at Emerald Beach—a pristine spot with golden sand and sparkling waves. Afterward, we wandered into The General Store for a relaxed and friendly lunch, the perfect refuel for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, we set off on a hike to Scout Falls. The trail was invigorating—offering a mix of natural beauty and adventure—and led us to a spot perfect for an afternoon swim. The falls were breathtaking, and we spent the hours relaxing by the cool, clear waters before the journey back.
As the evening rolled in, we returned to Haven Tropicana and spent our final moments on the deck, drinks in hand. The sky was painted with hues of gold and pink as we watched the sun set behind the tropical gardens, the birds still dancing about as the day came to a close. It was a perfect end to a relaxing, joyful stay.

In the afternoon, we hiked to Scout Falls, scrambling over rocks and roots on a medium-difficulty trail. Along the way, we discovered a smaller waterfall, a peaceful spot before following the creek to the stunning Scout Falls. The effort was worth it—10/10 recommend for adventure seekers!
We stopped by The General Store, a charming little beach shack with a laid-back vibe. The food was fantastic, and the coffee and smoothies were just as good. With its friendly atmosphere and coastal charm, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great company.
