Relaxing Getaway at Braelee Bower

Our trip started with a couple of hours on the road before turning off the highway for a scenic drive through Rollands Plains. The drive was a great way to break up the journey and set the tone for a relaxing getaway.

When we arrived at Braelee Bower, we unpacked and spent our first afternoon cooling off with a swim at Pop’s Hole, a beautiful freshwater swimming hole that was the perfect way to escape the summer heat. The clear, calm water felt amazing, and it was a refreshing way to unwind after the drive.

Braelee Bower sat on top of the hill with stunning views over the valley. The space was bright, light-filled, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the cozy space was perfect for relaxing during our time there.

During our stay, we explored the beaches for a surf check and swim, spending time in the ocean and taking in the beautiful coastal scenery. By midday, we made our way back to the property. We set up a blanket in a sunny spot and enjoyed some snacks as we relaxed and soaked in the peaceful surroundings. After lunch, we played a game of Battle Blocks, having fun and sharing a few laughs as we competed. It was a simple and enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.

One of the highlights was the outdoor bath, which was amazing for stargazing at night. Sitting in the warm water under a sky full of stars was a magical experience. We also made use of the fire pit in the evenings, watching the sunset and listening to the sounds of nature. Watching the sunrise over the misty valley each morning was another special moment.

The hosts at Braelee Bower were very kind and welcoming, making sure we felt at home throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly added to the charm of the experience, making it a wonderful and memorable trip.
