Summer Daze, Vintage Stayz
Adventure in Mudgee, Country NSW, NSW, AU
Through the paddocks, up the hill, and around the corner was a setup that radiated real glamping vibes. A renovated vintage caravan, a fire pit, an outdoor bathtub—I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to have a flushing toilet! As the sun dipped into the final hour of the day, it was shaping up to be a spectacular sunset. I started running the outdoor bath, and since it was a warm evening, I didn’t need much hot water. I definitely added bubbles, though. I submerged myself completely, and on that warm summer night, I didn’t need anything else.
The van’s interior was neat, crisp, and functional. The bed was comfy, and the kitchen had everything I needed. I whipped up some breakfast before heading into the nearest town, Mudgee. I found the Corner Store for my coffee fix and struck up a conversation with a local lass who had the most infectious smile. I got lost in it, so I’m not quite sure what happened next.
I wandered through the township of Mudgee for most of the afternoon, admiring the gorgeous vintage buildings, churches, and neatly kept parks. The brewery garden looked so inviting that, naturally, I followed my heart's desire straight to the cocktail menu.
As I continued to explore, I noticed the town had that friendly small-town feel. Everyone said hello and was willing to help, even if you didn’t need it. Ha! That suited this small-town gal just fine. I stumbled upon a cozy Thai massage place and waltzed right in. My friends, it was hands down the BEST Thai massage I’d ever had—right there in Mudgee! I didn’t even know my body needed a Thai lady to sit on my back! Ha!
In a peaceful daze, I returned to my humble van abode and indulged in a cheeky late-afternoon nap! That night, I gazed at the stars and made several wishes upon shooting stars. It was so still and open out there; you could see the stardust stretching on forever. I took some long-exposure photos and wrapped up my late-night adventure with an open-shutter warm shower. Yep, true story—you can shower while admiring the night sky at the same time.
The next morning, I practiced some yoga and gave thanks to the land for having me. I shut the gate behind me and drove off, feeling at ease within myself—one might say I felt a complete sense of contentment. That country air worked wonders for me, and I could feel my heart, body, and spirit thanking me. What an enlightening space to be in, and I’m grateful I found this glamping haven to guide me there.

Wicked good spot to star gaze with little light pollution! Do you make a wish upon a shooting star like me?
Not sure life could get any better than your own private outdoor tub with running hot water, bubbles and a sunset! DEEEEEELUXE.
Great Coffee. Great Service. I was too busy chatting to my new friend I made across from the table to capture anything else for ya friends, so clearly a great place to meet friendly locals too.
The outdoor garden at Mudgee Brewery looked so inviting, so I went for an cheeky afternoon cocktail that required two hands to hold! ha! Highly recommend the lychee one.
Wandered the township after that, checking out all the cute stores and impressive buildings!
