Arriving at The Hayloft, we instantly felt relaxed. Nestled in a peaceful coastal setting, the high ceilings and cozy warmth of the space made it feel like a home away from home.

The outdoor bath built into the deck was definitely a highlight. Showering under the open sky and soaking in bubbles beneath the stars, a glass of wine in hand, felt grounding and rejuvenating. My mum, who is visiting from overseas, also loved the escape. We enjoyed preparing a delicious steak dinner on the BBQ, with the well-equipped kitchen providing everything we needed for our stay.

Mornings were lovely and slow. We sipped coffee on the deck in the sunshine and lost ourselves in good books. Exploring the area was another highlight—Port Albert’s coffee was a treat, and the winding country roads led us to beautiful harborside views, where we parked up and enjoyed lunch.

Leaving was bittersweet, but we felt refreshed and reminded of the joy found in simplicity and connection. The Hayloft is the perfect retreat to unplug, reconnect, and savor life’s little pleasures.
