My buddy and I decided to indulge in a luxurious staycay at the Black Cabins—one each, even though each cabin is perfect for two. We wanted to go all out, and it was absolutely worth it.

My cabin was simply divine, featuring its own wood-fired hot tub, sauna, spacious bathroom, and a cozy bedroom-living kitchenette area. The bed was a dream—incredibly comfortable, with the most exquisite linen. Falling asleep each night, tucked into that space, gazing at the stars from bed, with the gentle hum of crickets in the background, was pure bliss.

The charming town of Clunes was just a few minutes away, as was the Eltham Pub, making it easy to explore the area. We spent our days wandering, feeding local horses, and indulging in delicious local treats, and made sure we were back at the cabins by sunset to watch the colourful show and sink into the onsite amenities. Our rotation of sauna, cold, shower and hot tub, whilst golden storm clouds formed on the horizon, was an experience I won’t forget.

These cabins are perfect whether you’re booking one on its own or both together—ideal for a solo retreat, a girls' getaway, or a romantic escape. We can’t wait to return in the colder months and cozy up by the indoor fire.
