La Baracca

Autumn in full colour 🍂

There are escapes that slow you down, and then there’s La Baracca. Hidden in a private garden just outside Bright, this eclectic cabin became our little autumn sanctuary in Victoria’s High Country. The golden trees lining every street, the crunch of leaves underfoot, the crisp mountain air… it all felt like a scene from a storybook.

After wandering through Bright’s charming streets, crossing Cherry Walk Bridge, and sipping a strong flat white at Sixpence Coffee, we’d return to our peaceful base. The cabin’s mood was just right, earthy tones, layered textures, a country tune playing in the background, and a firepit waiting outside under the stars.

Evenings were spent soaking in the outdoor bath, wrapped in the smell of woodsmoke and the rustle of leaves. We picked herbs from the greenhouse, strolled into Wandiligong, and watched the last light fade from the valley. Slow, simple, and just what we needed.

La Baracca, you were pure autumn magic 🍁
