Wisemans Ferry is the perfect base for adventure, offering everything from hikes and wine tours to our favourite – water sports. For a more relaxed experience, rent a canoe or kayak and drift along one of the many rivers winding through this picturesque area. It’s one of the best ways to take in the landscape, surrounded by towering trees, local wildlife and the gentle rhythm of nature all around you. Cool off with a dip in the water for the perfect reset.
Take a moment to soak in the beauty of the Hawkesbury River. The picturesque Hawkins Lookout is the perfect spot to pull over, stretch your legs and enjoy a bite to eat in the designated picnic area. From here, sweeping views open out across the river, the rolling mountains and a landscape painted in shifting colours. It’s a place to pause, breathe, and take in one of the region’s most stunning outlooks.
Step back in time at the Wisemans Ferry Inn Hotel - a true nod to heritage and community. With locals filling the seats and laughter in the air, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal.
On the ground floor you’ll find an arcade, a dog-friendly outdoor area and relaxed indoor dining. Upstairs, the heritage museum offers a glimpse into the history of the Inn, inviting you to wander through stories of the past while soaking in the atmosphere of this beloved landmark.
