Wangat River Sanctuary
Adventure in Bandon Grove, Hunter Valley, NSW, AU
Tucked within the Wangat Wildlife Sanctuary, Clancy Cottage is a peaceful riverside retreat surrounded by native bushland and abundant wildlife. When we arrived, a basket of fresh greens, eggs, and grapefruit was waiting for us — such a thoughtful surprise. We made the most delicious meals and refreshing drinks with it, the perfect start to our stay.
Our days unfolded slowly — exploring the property, wandering along bush trails, swimming in the river, and playing games as the sun went down. It was the perfect place to bring our little one, who loved every moment outdoors — spotting lizards, learning about native plants, and feeding the birds by hand.
The cabin is rustic yet comfortable, with everything you need and nothing you don’t. Quiet, private, and effortlessly welcoming, it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.
Here, you’ll find more than just a stay — you’ll find space to recharge, realign, and reconnect. Whether you’re seeking solitude, inspiration, or peaceful time with loved ones, Clancy Cottage is your own pocket of wilderness, where calm runs deep and the rest of the world feels wonderfully far away.
