Where Coastline Calm Meets Cottage Charm

Stone cottage is nestled off the great Ocean road, an iconic Victorian coastal setting.

After driving through the beautiful Apollo bay, we arrived to the entrance point of stone cottage in Marengo and made our way down the driveway. Emerging from the overhanging trees sits the stone cottage, overlooking the beautiful beachside below. Truly a picturesque sight.

The cottage itself boasts ocean views from the bedroom, kitchen and living area. A cosy and unique accommodation with a stunning backdrop.

Our little boy Mr Pickles loved exploring the private yard space out the front while we were able to soak in the coastline view. He settled right in being a dog friendly stay, with pet blankets and amenities included.

The town of Apollo bay is a convenient few minute drive away, or a generous walk if you're up for it. We spent quite a bit of time in town enjoying the local pubs and cafes, and loved the beach almost as much as Mr Pickles did!

Back at the stone cottage, you can access the beach and rock pools straight from the property. Journeying down the steps, out into the open farmland where occasionally you would find sheep grazing, and through down the final gate past the Great Ocean Walk trail takes you to an incredible, quiet beach. We loved exploring this area, letting Mr pickles run around while we explored the rock pools and collected shells.

We loved ending our day of beachside exploration cozied up by the fireplace roasting marshmallows, only to do it all again the next day.

This quiet and secluded beach can be accessed right from the property. We loved exploring the rock pools and collecting shells here while our boy Mr Pickles had the freedom to run around. This spot also takes you to the Great Ocean Walk Trail which snakes around the coastline.

Apollo Bay beach is easily accessed from the main town - we enjoyed it after grabbing our morning coffee. It's a beautiful spot with nice sand and clear water.
