Tranquil retreat at The Dome

On arriving at Maple Park Farm, I could feel myself instantly relax and exhale. Tucked amongst the trees and overlooking rolling hills, The Dome felt like the perfect place to slow down and switch off.

The hosts had thoughtfully left a delicious array of breakfast provisions, including fresh eggs from their own hens. Mornings were spent with a coffee on the deck, listening to the birds and taking in the peaceful countryside views.

Days unfolded slowly, wandering around the farm, meeting the friendly animals, birdwatching and exploring nearby lookouts, taking in the vast countryside before returning to the outdoor spa with a glass of wine as the sun went down.

Back inside, the cosy Dome was the perfect place to curl up and unwind. There was nowhere we needed to be and nothing we needed to do. I left feeling rested, grounded and grateful for the chance to simply slow down.

Wandered around the beautiful property and met all the friendly animals. The cheeky goats were my personal favourite!

Went for a short drive and took in the beautiful views of Murchison Gap also known as the Valley of a Thousand Hills. Stunning rolling hills as far as the eye can see!

Heard rustling in the trees and was so lucky to spot these beautiful birds feasting away. I’ve always wanted to see Gang Gang Cockatoos so this was a very special experience and memory.
