A Canopy Escape at Birdcloud

Arriving at Birdcloud, we were immediately greeted by a sprawling eucalyptus forest that seemed to stretch straight into the clouds. Tucked away in a secluded pocket of woodland, this charming treehouse offered an instant sense of escape, surrounded by nothing but towering gums, crisp fresh air, and the gentle symphony of nature.

Inside, Birdcloud is a bright, open sanctuary that catches beautiful golden light throughout the day. Thoughtful, curated details fill the space, giving the accommodation a unique character that feels deeply welcoming.

Our days started slowly on the open deck, enjoying breakfast to a soundtrack of morning birdsong while spotting colourful native birds hidden in the canopy. From there, the treehouse served as the ultimate basecamp. We spent our afternoons exploring the nearby Mount Jerusalem National Park, relaxing by the waterhole at Boogarem Falls, and soaking in the sweeping Byron Shire panoramas from Koonyum Range Lookout.

As dusk settled, we retreated to the fire pit. With the forest growing quiet around us, we spent our evenings sharing stories and simply being present. Our stay was the perfect antidote to the everyday hustle, leaving us completely recharged, refreshed, and immersed in the wild.
