A Little Step Back in Time

We arrived Wednesday, winding down through towering forests and mountain cliffs into the picturesque Kangaroo Valley. Then we found Loughmore Cottage... an incredible little time capsule in the heart of the village. With timber beams, antiques, beautiful lamps and an old stone fireplace, it felt like stepping back in time, with just the right modern comforts.

Our days found an easy rhythm: sleeping in, making coffee, soaking up the sun on the porch and wandering the village, where cafés, the bakery, antiques, fudge and the riverside walk were all quite literally on our doorstep. We ventured out to nearby waterfalls and lookouts, then returned to light the fire, open some wine and share a cheese board as the sun set.

Between friendly locals, colourful parrots and cosy nights playing games, we felt completely immersed in village life. Bring your camera, you won’t stop taking photos! Loughmore Cottage is the perfect escape. Slow, simple and genuinely restorative.
