Where Luxury Meets Leisure

A well needed mid-week reset was in order, so we decided to make the short journey out of Melbourne down to Mt.Martha and have ourselves two nights of luxury and leisure in a beautifully designed studio 2 minutes walking distance from the beach.

The host Nina (Interior Designer) was great welcoming us into the space, and offering us local recommendations as to where we could eat, drink and sightsee. We relaxed the first night as the weather was pretty grim, went out for Pizza and came back to watch Netflix in bed with a hot drink, not a bad night in at all! The space was very warm and well equipped with everything a couple would need to relax, cook if you wish to have a drink and chill.

Even though the weather wasn't as you'd expect for down this way we actually found the moody beaches super relaxing to chill at and go for a stroll on which we did both days in between wineries and bush walks. We chose Pt.Leo Estate Winery as the space looked unreal and the food sounded even better, after wining and dining there we grabbed a takeaway bottle of Red, went back to the Studio and polished it off with some cheese. Our last night we had planned to do Fish & Chips on the beach at sunset, but it decided to bucket down heavily while we were ordering, so we chose plan B which was sitting in the car on the beachfront, still super lovely and a great end to the day.

Overall we had a great trip, the fact that the weather was so unpredictable meant that we could go with the flow and let it all unfold organically which was great and made for a spontaneous and relaxing getaway. We would both love to get back down here and stay again!

Ideally, you'd be eating fish and chips on the beach watching the sun go down. However if it decided to rain (which it did, heavy), You can always park up on the beach front and sit in the car and pretend you are on the beach in the sun ha....
