A Slice of Sandon

Being an easy drive out of Melbourne, we kicked our trip off after work one night and enjoyed the scenic drive through the lovely towns out to Sandon Ridge.

As we pulled up, we were immediately excited and had smiles ear to ear. Once we stepped through the gate to our secluded Riparide for the next two nights, we felt like we had just arrived somewhere in Spain - a little bit ironic right now don't you think? Considering we can't leave the country.

We fell in love. From the rustic finishes and beautiful surroundings, we felt at home, comfortable. We spent time with the cute little chickens at the property and enjoyed a delicious couple of pizzas that we managed to whip up and cook ourselves in a gorgeous outside wood fire pizza oven. Our nights were spent in front of the fire, teaching ourselves guitar, enjoying a hot cuppa, and snuggling down watching Netflix.

Daylesford is nearby, as well as plenty of things to do and see. From waterfalls to vintage shops, delicious food and wine around, cafes with beautiful coffee, local produce and little towns to explore, we were never short of activities to do.

This Riparide ticked all of our boxes. We were so so happy to have stayed and couldn't wait to get back and tell our friends. We had the most fantastic time and couldn't recommend it more.
