Farm Life Fairytale

As we ambled along dirt roads, surrounded by deep green pastures speckled with sheep and not much else, a sense of calm began to sink in. We laid eyes on the Rosewood Farmstay, set on a sprawling hillside with unblemished views off into the distant valley, and we knew the solitude was exactly what we needed. We strolled the surrounding hillside and breathed in the fresh air. The day was filled with birdsong and we spotted a few kangaroos while enjoying simply going slow.

The bathtub on the deck at sunset was a real highlight for me. As the surreal pastels faded to black, before turning frosty white, the heaters drew us inside the tent and we were done as soon as we hit that four-poster bed; it's like floating inside a warm fluffy cloud.

To be honest, I could have left most of my things in the car. Rosewood had everything we needed, from coffee machines and a NutriBullet to Jenga, yoga mats and a hairdryer, not to mention the farm-fresh eggs and bath bombs! I could keep going.

The whole experience felt like we were a fairytale. It was something I would do all over again in a heartbeat.

Lindner family sock making heritage began hundreds of years ago. This little sock shop has all the machinery working hard out the back where you can see the whole process. A fascinating process that ends with a beautiful locally made and sourced merino sock and other varieties....

I am a bird lover, and I get so much joy out of capturing them fly through the sky. There was amazing birdlife on the property, and it was just beautiful to watch....
Being from New Zealand, I love looking for kangaroos, and there were so many close to the property....
The property is huge and there is no limit to where you can go for a big walk and explore...
I loved capturing the sunrise around the property and seeing all the different views and reflections....
