Tree House Vibes
Adventure in Crescent Head, North Coast, NSW, AU
The perfect blend of bush and beach, a quick drive out of town found us at our cabin at Goolawah Bush & Beach Retreat. With a cosy, earthy charm that gives it a treehouse feel, Goolawah was the perfect place to rest our heads after a full day of surfing, and to wake with the sun and the sounds of bird song. The fireplace gave us warmth on the rainy days, the perfect spot to sip a coffee or to curl up beside with a book, while the well-stocked kitchen meant we were cooking up a storm every evening with a glass of vino in hand.
Crescent Head is a dream for surfers; grab your longboard and head to the break that runs alongside Little Nobby, the unmissable headland that hugs the main beach in town. If surfing isn't your thing, a picnic dinner or a brew sipped sitting atop Little Nobby is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down over the hills and set the ocean alight. Take a drive out of town all the way down Point Plomer Road, stopping off at beaches a-plenty, and do an epic headland walk, or discover some secret beaches.

Things We Did
- Surf
- Walk
With endless rolling waves, a lagoon to float down, and perhaps a pod of dolphins to witness if you're lucky, Little Nobby is the go-to for a surf in Crescent. Grab a brew at sunset and sit atop Little Nobby to watch the surfers and the sun set across the hills.
Driving down Point Plomer Road, we came across so many amazing beaches and walking tracks. An easy but beautiful track that wraps around the headland, we enjoyed some epic views on the Queens Head Track. A lush, grassy knoll you'll come across on the track was the perfect place to stop and soak up some sun, too.
